Tea is a natural and healthy drink. People have enjoyed drinking it for thousands of years. This tradition developed and remained popular to this very day. Nowadays, more than half of the world 5 billions population drink tea. Modern research indicates that tea contains a lot of nutrients that help to build up good health.

(1) Tea is refreshing and helps you work efficiently
Tea is a true stimulant, because of the caffeine it contains. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and blood circulation. It helps muscles to relax and influences the metabolic process of all body cells. Tea also has an effect of blood vessel dilation and prevent from the cardiovascular and coronary diseases. Tea is used to cure angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. In clinics, tea is used to cure cold and headache with no adverse side-effects. Caffeine is also contained in Aspirine tablets.

(2) Tea is a thirst quencher and aids digestion of food
In summer time, when tea is drunk, the comforting quality is felt at once. This is because of the polyphenols, carbohydrates, amino acid, etc. contained in tea reacted chemically with the saliva to result in dispersing the excessive body heat and purging toxine, promoting the waste disposal of the body. Metabolism keeps balance after drinking tea.

Tea could be used as a mouth cleaner. One might feel thirsty and bitter taste when get up early in the morning. A cup of morning tea will clear mouth odor and slime and promote appetite.

Tea also provides iodine and fluoride. Lodine plays an important role in preventing hyperthyroidism. Fluoride is an ingregient of bone, teeth, hair and nails. Ten grams of tea used for making tea beverage every day are enough to meet the need of fluoride for human being and to prevent tooth decay.

After a heavy meal, a cup of strong tea will a heavy meal, a cup of strong tea will stimulate the secretion of gastric juice and help digestion of good.
The vitamin groups such as inositol, folio acid, pantothenic acid etc. and compounds as methionine; thenylcyoteine, cholive, etc. contained in tea contribute to promote the fat metabolism.

Aromatic substances contained in tea also aid to digestion of food and disperse unpleasant mouth odor since fat can be dissolved in aromatic substances. That’s why tea is indispensable to our brethren nationalities who take meat and butter as their staple food.

(3)Tea helps to desinfect and alleviate inflammation; helps urinary output and purge toxine

Polyphenols contained in tea can kill the colon bacillus, typhoid and cholera, etc. by solidifying their protein contained in those bacteria. Folk remedies prevailing in China showed that a cup of strong tea is good for curing the bacillary dysentery, applying for external wounds; dispersing toxine and inflammation. The patent drugs used tea as raw materials are good for dysentery and cold.

Polyphenols contained in tea can be used to purify water by decomposing the aluminium, zinc and alkaloid contained in water.

Tea is known for its efficaciousness in combating alcoholism and nicotism. When one is heavily drunken, one of two cups of strong tea will help to dispose all the unnecessary things out by neutralizating alcohol with caffeine and polyphenols.

Nicotine contained in cigarettes enters into human body when one smokes. Most heavy smokers use tea to alleviate the harm. That’s why most cigarrets smokers savor tea.

(4) Tea makes nutrition sense and is good for health
Tea, green tea in particular, is rich in vitamin C, which collaborates with vitamin, P, to be easily absorbed by human body. It is helpful to depress cerebral haemorrhage. Pu-er tea produced in Yunnan Province is renowned for its pharmacological functions. Research shows that Tuocha, a kind of Pu-er tea ,is excellent for diets and helps against cardiovascular diseases. Clinical experiments show that drink tuocha from time to time helps to reduce weight significantly and decrease the contents of antilipoidic compounds. Persons suffering from over-weight, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases could be helped by drinking tuocha.

Oolong tea can be used as diets. It is functional in dissolving fat ,and helps in digestion of food and discharge of urine and constipation.

Persons suffering from radioactive pollution can benefit from drinking tea. Polyphenols contained in tea acted combinatively with oligosaccharose and vitamin C in absorbing the radioactive element SR90. Therefore, tea merits as “Beverage of Atomic Age.”

Being cultivated, so-called “black tea germs” or HAI-Bo in Chinese can be developed in black tea liquid. It can be used as a beverage and is helpful to promote the metabolism and discharge of customary constipation and eliminate the bacteria existed in large and small intestines and duodenum.
